Shipping & Delivery
All items are shipped using either registered post or courier, depending on weight and value. Delivery within Ireland (next business day) costs €9.00. Shipping is free for all orders over €100.

Delivery times quoted are estimates only, and Costume World shall not be liable for any delays caused except to the extent caused wilfully or negligently by Costume World.

We hold large quantities of stock in our own warehouse, and the availability of each item is displayed in the product pages. Because we hold our own stocks we can offer same or next day despatch. Occasionally we may not have some items in stock, and delivery may be subject to a small delay. We will always contact you in such cases to see if you want to wait for the item to come into stock, substitute the item, or require a refund.

Goods held in stock at our Dublin warehouse will be shipped within 1 business day of receipt of your order, and delivery can be expected within 1-3 working days.

Depending on value, goods are sent by regular post, registered post or by courier (at our discretion). It is the responsibility of the purchaser to collect the goods if an initial delivey attempt is unsuccessful.

In the event that goods are not collected, and subsequently returned, we will credit your account after deducting the carriage fees and a handling charge of €5.

Privacy & Security
We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988, and the Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003). All information submitted by you is totally private and confidential and will not be used for any purpose other than to complete any purchase made by you. The information gathered is provided by the customer in the process of ordering. We may contact you from time to time to let you know of any news from our site.

Returns Policy
Costume World want you to be totally satisfied with any purchase placed with us. Therefore if you wish to return an item for whatever reason you may contact us by email at returns@costumeworld.ie within seven days stating the reason for return.

Goods can be returned for a full refund if they are faulty or if the wrong item has been dispatched

If the goods have been dispatched as ordered, they can be returned for a refund, but only for the cost of the goods if they have incurred a delivery charge. Items must be unused and still have their original packaging and labelling attached. Returned

If a customer wishes to return a product bought on our site we must be notified via email or written letter within 7 working days of receiving the item(s) in question. Items must be returned to us within 5 days of such notification. Items must be returned in the condition they were sent. Returns must include all parts of the original item to be eligible for refund. Packages must not be torn. Costumes must not have been worn other than to try on. There must be no trace of perfume, smoke or any other odor.

Costumes that are received outside the returns period will be eligible for a credit note, subject to receiving the goods within 30 days of the order being received.

Returned goods which do not meet the above criteria will be considered as 'In Dispute'. In Dispute products will not be refunded or exchanged. A reason will be given as to why the product is in dispute. We are happy to re-ship such items back at the customer's cost otherwise they will be destroyed after 30 days. Shipping and packaging costs, both to and from us, will remain the responsibility of the customer. Refunds will be for the purchase price of the costume only.

Nothing in these conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer. The card used for the purchase will be credited with the original purchase amount (less any delivery charge paid where appropriate.)

For hygiene reasons there are no exchanges for personal items such as - Masks, Wigs, Stockings, Tights, Borat ManKini's, etc.
